WCP is an initiative of Weardale people set up within the Government’s Neighborhood Renewal and Local Strategic Partnership frameworks to improve the conditions of life within the area with particular reference to social welfare, education and recreation.

Its primary object is to promote, support and nurture local initiatives by directing enquirers to key resources and providing assistance in accessing them.

WCP aims to raise awareness within the community about funding and other opportunities, and the progress of new and ongoing projects.
