Countryside Volunteering in Weardale

There is a wide range of countryside volunteering projects that require help in the Weardale area. Volunteering is all about give and take, working together for the benefit of all, learning new skills and enjoying yourself. Projects differ from practical tasks in that they are usually long term and open-ended allowing you to help out when it suits. So if you've a little bit of time to give then you can make a huge difference.

Volunteering tasks, located at a specific site on given days can be found on our diary or map pages.

As you've probably guessed, the current look of this site is more to get your comments during the initial development phase. So rather than develop a site that isn't what you want, we'll make a start with some suggested projects that have been mentioned. If you'd like to offer suggestions, get in touch or register your interest on the 'testing the web site' project below.
Look out for version 2

Thanks VONNE!

Everyone at the countryside volunteering association would like to thank VONNE for providing the ICT support grant to get the Countryside Volunteering Association up and running. Without it the project would be unable to coordinate the resources and manpower required to operate the scheme, not to mention promote the volunteering activities to a wider audience via this web site. It's been a pleasure working with them.

They are the real ICT champions.

New Web site ready for April Launch

While this web site has only been up and running since December 2010, we've had quite a few suggestions about what people would like it to do. So to accommodate them we're busy working on the all-new, all-singing, all-dancing version and hope to have it ready for release in April 2011. Watch this space!!
