Learndirect

learndirect offers courses specially designed to improve your maths, English and IT. You can do your course at your local centre, or from home or work if you have access to the internet. There courses are broken down into bite sized chunks, so you can learn at your own pace and whenever it suits you.

The Open University

The Open University is a distance learning university founded to bring higher education to people who are unable, or don't want to study at a conventional university.

The OU is for people who want to choose when and where they study. It's perfect for people with jobs, children, disabilities, or commitments that make it hard to go to a fixed place. And for most courses you don't need any previous qualifications.

eCo iT

eCo iT offers various training packages (as well as internet connections for both Learndirect and Open University students who don't have broadband connections of their own). Feel free to call in, or email us if you would like to book your internet session. (Usually this will already have been paid for by your education supplier, but we are able to check just in case.)

They also specialise in vocational training for residents and businesses, ranging from beginner's courses to web design, network programming and computer security.
