Healthy Village Challenge

At last, we are off!!
This is a rare opportunity to be able to create and access a range of healthy activities for the benefit of the Weardale community. If you are interested in improving your health by stopping smoking, drinking less, eating healthier to taking more exercise in the gym, swimming and walking then get involved. There is support from a health trainer as well as many activities requested by a volunteer core group. WCP aims to spead activities along the whole of Weardale so make your needs known as there is no point in creating an activity that no one attends.
There is to be a press announcement and information in venues throughout the Dale.
We have already had a wonderful response and it is not too late to take part. The project will last until the end of June and the aim is to continue the good practice and use the knowledge gained.
Call or email The Weardale Hub and speak with Lisa - 01388 529500 or lisa@the-wcp.org.uk. Opening hours: Monday - Friday 9.30 - 1.30 (1.00 pm on Friday)
Better still, call in on Tuesdays 9.30 - 11.30 and speak with the health trainer.

Computer Tuition
Don't delay and remain WWW. clueless.
Don't delay and remain WWW. clueless.
If you are reading this then you will know something about computing. But what about those who have a genuine fear and would love to have a go - no pressure, no judgement, no exams but are afraid to take that first step. If you know of anyone who wants to try ask them to join us in The Weardale Hub for a friendly experience and they will be surprised at what they can do. Come with a friend or on your own with a tutor to guide. Computers do not have teeth although they do frustrate at times. The fun is beating them at their own game. Come and have a go.
