Weardale News

Do you have any news?

If you have any news that you feel that should be shared, email the HUB giving as much detail as is necessary and the page manager will read it and, if suitable, post it on the web site. We need your email address and phone number to be able to check the authenticity of your submission.

Computer Tuition
If you are reading this then you will know something about computing. But what about those who have a genuine fear and would love to have a go - no pressure, no judgement, no exams but are afraid to take that first step. If you know of anyone who wants to try ask them to join us in The Weardale Hub for a friendly experience and they will be surprised at what they can do. Don't delay and remain WWW. clueless. Come with a friend or on your own with a tutor to guide.

Healthy Village Challenge

We are still waiting for the official starting date from the PCT and the "lead" village before we can get cracking. Sorry about the delay but it is beyond our control. We will let you know the minute we know any more.

Wonderful news!
Another of our young volunteers has been offered a job and says that it was  as a result of the admin experience and confidence-building that he had in The Hub. Our congratulations and best
.wishes. Well done.

                                                    Knit and Natter

            Light Bulb Amnesty-in the HUB
There are still many left
Exchange your old style light bulbs for new energy saving new ones. They are equivalent to 40 watt. No limit on how many you exchange - for free. This project is in conjunction with the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Beauty.
These are going remarkably slowly so does this mean that you are all hanging onto your old style light-bulbs? We are aware that their strength is not great but are ideal for low romantic lighting. So what are you waiting for - the nights are getting darker.
