Weardale News

Do you have any news?

If you have any news that you feel that should be shared, email the HUB giving as much detail as is necessary and the page manager will read it and, if suitable, post it on the web site. We need your email address and phone number to be able to check the authenticity of your submission.

Job Seeking?

WCP cannot create jobs but is able to put you in touch with agencies who can help and who will come to meet you instead of you having to travel to meet them. If you don't seek out the opportunities they will not seek you. Call in and speak with Lisa.

ART SALE

The Major Sale of local artist Bruce Clark's originals has almost finished. Well over 100 paintings have been acquired by admirers of his work and as fast as the wall was replinished more had to replace the fast-disappearing pictures. Weardale Community Partnership has cause to be very grateful to Bruce. The benefits were beyond the financial gain ( he donated all the proceeds to the work of WCP to benefit residents of Weardale). WCP met more people, shared in the delight of the purchasers who often picked up helpful information whilst in The Hub and the whole experience lifted the spirits of all at a time when the weather was starting to be depressing. Thank you, Bruce.
See the Art Page for information on this month's display.
                  Stanhope Methodist Church
Love pancakes?

Stanhope Methodist Church is cooking pancakes on Shrove Tuesday from 6 o'clock when you can eat all you can - the record is 6. There is a charge but I can't remember it so watch this page for more details when I have them.
Age Concern
Did you come to the pamper morning and have a free hand massage and a coffee?
We do try to spread the word and leafelets/notices were displayed but the best way is word of mouth. Age Concern is returning on March 4th and is offering another session but if these wonderful opportunities are not used we will lose them and it is often difficult to restart them. If you want agencies to be there when you need them, please support them even when you don't.
